In a meeting of PIFON last January 29, Toilea Taholo of Tonga Growers Federation Inc. (TGA) shared her insights from the women entrepreneurship exposure program that she attended in India last year.
“I was very impressed by how the Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) promotes self-reliance among its members,” said Toilea. “SEWA targets very poor women in India and encourages them to be self-reliant through bottoms up organizing.”
